This is a brief
description of my laptop where, after many changes, I finally installed
Fedora
Core 3 (dual-boot with XP)
and I think I'll go on updating with the next releases.
My notebook is a QDI, in particular is a D50 model. I bought it in 2003
and I can say in Italy it wasn't so easy to find it, in fact it was the
first to be purchased in my country. Could you ask me: "Was it worth
spending so long time to find it?" The answer obviously is OF COURSE!
It had
the highest ratio between components and price at that moment.
The
main features are:
CPU Pentium IV 2.4 GHz
RAM: 512 Mb DDR
CHACE: 512 Kb
Wireless LAN
2 USB 2.0
1 USB 1.1
1 FireWire
TFT Screen 15.1''
ATI Video Engine 32Mb
So
if you're looking for a laptop not mutch exapansive but with high
performance and 100% Linux compatible you can think about it.
